Understand institutional financing

Institutional capital can be relevant to a company, a long-lived asset or a contracted project. The useful question is not whether insurance money sounds attractive, but whether a particular instrument improves maturity, capacity, flexibility or access for your need. Compare it with the bank and funding relationships you already have.

The decision

Is there a credible capital source that solves a specific limitation in our current plan?

A public rating is neither a universal requirement nor an approval. The legal borrower, support, structure and provider requirements determine the actual review. Insurance as a capital source and insurance as risk protection are different roles. Neither promises a lower cost or removes diligence.
